Job Description
As the Senior Store Manager at VOLPES in Tokai, you will lead the day-to-day operations of the store to achieve sales targets and profitability goals. This includes managing stock, driving customer satisfaction, overseeing staff performance, and ensuring effective merchandising and administration. You will also be responsible for building strong stakeholder relationships and fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence within the store. A key part of your role will involve strategic staff management to ensure readiness for both current and future business needs.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Manage all daily store operations effectively and efficiently
Drive and monitor sales performance against set targets
Build and maintain customer relationships, ensuring service excellence
Ensure compliance with merchandising and visual standards
Monitor and control stock levels and shrinkage
Oversee store administration and reporting functions
Lead, coach, and manage staff performance and development
Enforce discipline and manage industrial relations matters
Cultivate a motivated, high-performing team culture
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Minimum of Matric (Grade 12)
At least 3 years’ experience in retail management
Proven track record in a high-volume, fast-paced retail environment
Experience in industrial relations and managing staff performance
Strong understanding of customer demographics and market trends
Knowledge of retail processes and merchandise standards
Exposure to or understanding of manufacturing processes is advantageous
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
