Job Description
The Senior Journalist Reporter will lead in originating, scripting, editing, and presenting engaging stories while maintaining the BBC's high journalistic standards. Working closely with editors, they will ensure seamless communication and maintain editorial integrity, even under tight deadlines or in challenging environments.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Research, write, report, and edit news stories and analytical pieces for various platforms.
Provide live, on-the-spot reports and analysis of breaking news.
Utilize digital platforms effectively to reach target audiences.
Gather broadcast material reflecting the diverse audience served by BBC News Africa.
Provide specialist coverage and in-depth analysis of African news and events.
Maintain communication with editors throughout assignments.
Adhere to the BBC's health and safety policies at all times.
