About the Organisation
The Central Rift Valley Water Works Development Agency (CRVWWDA) is one of the nine Water Works Development Agencies established under Section 65 of the Water Act, 2016 in Kenya. It was officially formed through Kenya Gazette Notice No. 4 dated 7th February 2020. The agency serves the counties of Nakuru, Narok, Laikipia, Baringo, and Nyandarua, focusing on the development of water and sanitation infrastructure to ensure sustainable access to clean water for all.

Job Description
The role involves developing and implementing audit policies, conducting audit assignments, preparing audit reports, evaluating compliance with internal and external audit recommendations, carrying out information systems audits, preparing reports that communicate audit results, participating in the evaluation of internal control systems, adopting new technologies, and investigating suspected fraud cases.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Develop and implement audit policies, strategies, standards, and guidelines.
Undertake audit assignments in accordance with the approved audit work plan.
Ensure compliance with accountable records and prepare audit papers.
Provide input for the preparation of audit reports following audit engagements.
Evaluate the progress and effectiveness of actions taken to implement audit recommendations.
Conduct information systems audit engagements including testing, evaluation, and reporting.
Prepare reports and analyses to communicate audit findings, business conditions, and risks.
Participate in evaluating internal audit control systems.
Implement new technologies and business applications.
Investigate reported and suspected cases of fraud.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Finance and Accounting option) or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Certified Public Accountant of Kenya (CPA-K) qualification or equivalent.
Proficiency in computer applications.
A cumulative service period of six (6) years' work experience, with three (3) years at the level of Internal Auditor I or in a comparable position.
