Job Description
The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis in the Established Pharmaceutical Division. The role includes managing the financial close process, preparing monthly and annual reports, coordinating capital expenditure, and supporting margin improvement strategies. The analyst will also partner closely with commercial teams to monitor expense performance, conduct variance analysis, and provide data-driven insights to drive financial health and compliance. In addition, the analyst will ensure adherence to internal policies and external audit standards, support strategic initiatives, and help manage distributor relationships across the region.

Planning and Forecasting:
Coordinate LBE/Plan processes and guidelines.
Maintain P&L performance and variance models by country.
Track departmental and promotional expenses.
Support standard cost calculations and expense uploads.
Support planning, monthly closings, capital expenditure budgets, and margin improvement.
Coordinate accruals and ensure expense compliance.
Conduct regular balance sheet reviews and manage distributor credit terms.
Ensure audit readiness and compliance with internal policies.
Business Partnering:
Prepare detailed expense variance reports.
Work closely with cost center owners to align expenses with budgets and targets.
Provide ad-hoc business analytics and financial insights.
General:
Address internal and external audit queries.
Perform ad-hoc analyses and reporting for business units.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Required:
Completed BCom Accounting degree.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Senior Financial Analyst role.
Registered Chartered Accountant (CA) or eligible for CA registration.
Preferred:
CIMA qualification (advantageous).
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Proven leadership and influencing abilities.
High attention to detail and strong communication skills.
