Job Description
Reporting to the Senior Director for Global Risk & Compliance, the Senior Advisor will lead World Vision’s ERM strategy across the partnership. The role will provide technical leadership on risk management frameworks, coordinate partnership risk assessments, support global and regional leaders, and manage key ERM tools and systems. This position plays a central role in enhancing World Vision’s ability to anticipate, assess, and mitigate risk, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and global best practices. Key responsibilities include driving risk analytics, engaging senior stakeholders, coordinating training programs, managing the Riskonnect platform, and influencing risk-related decision-making across the organization.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate bi-annual Partnership Risk Assessment processes
Serve as subject matter expert for ERM across the organization
Partner with senior leaders to integrate risk management into strategic planning
Provide risk analysis and insights using data analytics
Facilitate the Global Centre (GC) Risk Committee
Support Regional Risk Leads and ensure quality risk registers from Field Offices
Develop and deliver ERM training, presentations, and awareness sessions
Manage and improve ERM systems, including Riskonnect
Regularly review and update ERM policy, framework, and strategy documents
Collaborate with Global Governance to support risk oversight by local Boards
Build relationships with external risk professionals and benchmarking partners
Lead innovation in risk management best practices within the INGO sector

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education and Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline
Membership in a globally recognized risk management professional institute
Preferred: MBA or relevant graduate degree; Risk management certification
Experience:
7–10 years of experience in Enterprise Risk Management or related discipline
Proven leadership and facilitation skills
Experience with cross-functional strategy development and implementation
Strong ability to influence senior leadership and deliver executive-level presentations
Familiarity with risk management standards and tools, including business process improvement
Experience in using risk management platforms (e.g., Riskonnect)
Skills and Attributes:
Strategic thinker with high business acumen
Strong analytical and communication skills
Collaborative and adaptive to multicultural environments
Commitment to World Vision’s values and mission
Language:
Fluency in written and spoken English
Travel:
Willingness to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally
