Provide timely, accurate and reliable financial information to support decision making as well as ensuring compliance with project specific financial and accounting controls and regulations.
Administrative Support: Providing high-level administrative support to senior management or executives, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, making travel arrangements, and organizing events.
Communication: Serving as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, screening and directing phone calls and emails, and handling inquiries with professionalism and discretion.
Documentation and Reporting: Drafting, editing, and formatting documents such as memos, reports, presentations, and correspondence. Compiling and analyzing data to prepare reports and presentations for senior management.
Project Coordination: Assisting with project coordination and management, including tracking project progress, coordinating meetings, preparing project documentation, and ensuring deadlines are met.
Information Management: Organizing and maintaining files, records, and databases, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and accessibility of information as needed.
Team Support: Providing support to team members as needed, including coordinating team activities, facilitating communication, and assisting with workflow management.
Problem Solving: Identifying and resolving administrative issues and challenges in a timely and effective manner. Anticipating potential problems and proactively implementing solutions.
Collaboration: Collaborating with colleagues across departments or teams to support organizational goals and initiatives. Building and maintaining positive working relationships with coworkers and stakeholders.
Training and Mentorship: Providing guidance and support to junior staff members, sharing knowledge and best practices, and serving as a mentor or resource for professional development.
Compliance: Ensuring compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and regulations. Keeping abreast of changes in policies and regulations relevant to the role.
Special Projects: Assisting with special projects or initiatives as assigned by senior management. Contributing ideas, expertise, and support to help achieve project objectives.
Ad hoc Tasks: Handling ad hoc tasks and responsibilities as they arise, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and demands.
Honors Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with full professional qualification
Must be a member of a recognised accountancy professional body ICPAU, ACCA).
Proven experience in accounting, finance and auditing, including automated financial systems.
A Masters degree will be an added advantage.
Three (3) years of practical work experience with projects. Ability to effectively complete multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
Excellent communication skills (both oral and written). Excellent interpersonal skills
