Job Description
This full-time remote role involves initiating and monitoring security clearance applications, coordinating with relevant parties, and maintaining accurate security documentation and records. The coordinator will ensure all PSI employees assigned to government contracts meet stringent federal background investigation requirements. They will serve as the single point of contact for security processes, collaborate with internal departments and government entities, and assist in audit and compliance functions. This position requires strong organizational skills, knowledge of federal security procedures, and the ability to manage sensitive information discreetly.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for all employee background investigations, NDAs, and security awareness training.
Initiate, monitor, and maintain personnel security clearance applications.
Coordinate and liaise between PSI staff, test centers, and government agencies.
Maintain accurate personnel security files and clearance databases.
Track reinvestigation cycles, clearance statuses, and expiration timelines.
Ensure compliance with all relevant federal security policies (e.g., IRM 10.23.2, IR1052.204-9000).
Conduct required briefings and debriefings including indoctrinations and NDAs.
Work with HR, recruiters, and hiring managers on clearance-related onboarding.
Collect and submit necessary background materials including Risk Assessment Checklists, I-9 verification, fingerprinting, and tax compliance reports.
Support audits, inspections, and prepare required security reports.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Proven organizational and detail-oriented capabilities.
Prior experience with personnel security and federal background investigations preferred.
Familiarity with IRS or government clearance requirements a plus.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and security tracking tools.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively across teams.
