Job Description
The Financial Adviser will be responsible for identifying client needs, providing tailored financial advice, and offering Sanlam’s range of products and services. This includes sourcing new clients, strengthening existing relationships, and promoting the Sanlam brand through high-quality service delivery. The adviser will engage in marketing, client consultations, financial needs analysis, compliance adherence, and relationship building, all while achieving individual business and revenue targets.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Assist in the growth and development of the Sanlam Adviser business in line with the distribution strategy
Segment the market and apply insights to target potential clients
Generate leads through networking, referrals, and social engagements
Prospect new clients via business and social networks
Conduct comprehensive client consultations, fact-finding, and needs analysis
Present financial solutions in alignment with client goals and compliance standards
Continuously service and monitor client portfolios, responding to changes and opportunities
Maintain ethical, courteous, and professional communication at all times
Resolve client queries promptly and efficiently
Document and report on activities including meetings, sales, and progress against targets
Ensure proper data entry and system updates
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education and Certifications:
Grade 12 (Matric)
Compliance with FAIS “Fit and Proper” requirements
Successfully completed Regulatory Examination if registered with FSCA for over 24 months
Experience:
Previous experience in financial planning or advisory roles is advantageous
Proven ability to achieve revenue and performance targets
Skills and Attributes:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Tech-savvy and comfortable using digital tools
Strong client relationship management abilities
Goal-driven, persuasive, and action-oriented
Financial planning and compliance knowledge
