Job Description
The role involves direct selling of both OTC and non-OTC pharmaceutical products to diverse customer segments including retail pharmacies, hospitals, institutions, wholesalers, and trade outlets. The Sales Representative is responsible for expanding market coverage, meeting sales targets, gathering market intelligence, supporting new product launches, and maintaining compliance with company policies. The position demands proactive engagement with key stakeholders, strategic sales planning, and consistent performance reporting to support business growth.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Achieve sales targets through effective customer acquisition and product promotion.
Utilize route-to-market plans, territory maps, and call planning to maximize product penetration.
Gather and analyze market data, competitor activities, and customer feedback.
Support new product introductions by aligning launch activities with market needs.
Develop and implement monthly and quarterly sales plans aligned with business goals.
Maintain strong relationships with pharmacists, procurement officers, and institutional buyers.
Ensure compliance with Harley’s Standard Operating Procedures, Quality Management System, and company policies.
Deliver exceptional customer service and manage territory responsibly.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Diploma in Pharmacy, Sales, Marketing, or related Science discipline (higher qualification advantageous).
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare sales with proven success.
Understanding of customer segments including pharmacies, trade outlets, and healthcare institutions.
Experience in sales analytics, reporting, and business presentations.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with CRM/ERP systems preferred.
