MADA Collection offers a diverse array of luxury accommodations across East Africa, ranging from the enchanting wilderness experiences at Fig Tree Camp in Masai Mara and Kilima Safari Camp in Amboseli, Kenya, to the beachfront leisure at Kilifi Bay Beach Resort and Baobab Sea Lodge. Duties and Responsibilities

Sales Strategy Development:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company sales targets and objectives.

  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth.

  • Set sales goals and quotas for the sales team and monitor performance against targets.


Team Leadership and Management:

  • Recruit, train, and motivate a high-performing sales team.

  • Provide coaching, guidance, and performance feedback to sales representatives to improve their effectiveness.

  • Set clear expectations and standards for sales performance and conduct regular performance evaluations.


Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, clients, and partners.

  • Act as a primary point of contact for major accounts and address their needs and concerns.

  • Resolve customer complaints or issues in a timely and satisfactory manner.


Sales Operations:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the sales department, including order processing, inventory management, and sales forecasting.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and sales guidelines.

  • Use CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software to track sales activities, manage customer interactions, and generate reports.


Sales Performance Analysis:

  • Analyze sales data and performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of sales strategies and initiatives.

  • Identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement, and make data-driven recommendations for optimizing sales performance.


Collaboration and Communication:

  • Collaborate with other departments such as marketing, product development, and customer service to align sales efforts with overall company objectives.

  • Communicate sales goals, strategies, and results to senior management and other stakeholders.


Market Research and Product Feedback:

  • Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape.

  • Gather feedback from customers and sales team members to inform product development, pricing strategies, and marketing campaigns.

Qualifications and Competencies

  • Education: A bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, sales, or a related field is typically required. Some employers may prefer candidates with a master's degree or relevant certifications.

  • Experience: Several years of experience in sales, with a proven track record of success in achieving sales targets and managing a sales team.

  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and management abilities, including the ability to inspire and motivate a team, set clear expectations, and drive performance.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers, team members, and senior management.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret sales data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.


  • Customer Focus: A customer-centric mindset with a focus on building and maintaining positive relationships with customers.

  • Adaptability: Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with the ability to adjust strategies and priorities as needed.

  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with sales software, CRM systems, and other tools used for sales management and analysis.
