Job Description

The Sales Consultant Assistant will be responsible for initiating contact with at least 80 business-to-business (B2B) prospects weekly, identifying client needs, and presenting suitable product or service offerings. The role requires consistent follow-ups, timely quotation submissions, and managing customer queries to ensure lead closure. The position involves scheduling technical conference calls, maintaining accurate sales records, and meeting defined performance metrics. The ideal candidate should be capable of negotiating effectively, building strong customer relationships, and staying informed of market trends through research and industry events.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

  • Call a minimum of 80 B2B leads weekly

  • Conduct regular follow-ups with leads via calls and emails

  • Establish clients’ requirements, project timelines, and key pain points

  • Send accurate quotations in a timely manner

  • Follow up on quotations and address client objections or concerns

  • Schedule and participate in technical conference calls

  • Maintain updated and accurate sales records

  • Meet daily and weekly performance KPIs

  • Close deals using strong negotiation techniques

  • Attend industry events and exhibitions to build networks

  • Conduct regular market analysis to track trends and competitors

Qualifications, Education and Competencies

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or related field

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in high-value sales, preferably in the fiber optics sector

Key Competencies:

  • Excellent communication and persuasive skills

  • Ability to thrive in a target-driven environment

  • Resilience under pressure

  • Strong interpersonal and follow-up skills

  • Proficient in sales record-keeping and lead management
