Job Description
As a Sales Associate, you will be tasked with selling sanitation products and services, identifying potential clients, closing sales, and managing the entire customer lifecycle. You will also be responsible for data collection, territory mapping, ensuring successful client onboarding and training, and monitoring service fee payments. The role involves engaging directly with community members and stakeholders in the informal settlements to expand Fresh Life’s reach.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Meet and exceed set sales targets and quotas
Develop strategies to expand customer base in the assigned area
Maintain regular contact with clients to ensure high satisfaction levels
Conduct mapping and data collection to validate market territories
Execute sales support activities including form completion, client training, lease agreement signing
Ensure successful training and onboarding of Fresh Life Operators (FLOs) and tenants
Achieve 100% monthly service fee collection
Report any operational issues within the sales territory
Maintain accurate and updated sales records
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education:
Diploma or Degree in Sales or related field
Experience:
At least 2 years of experience in a business, organization, or youth group setting
Prior or current residency in informal settlements preferred
Skills and Competencies:
Proven track record in sales
Fluent in English and Kiswahili
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong relationship-building ability
Proactive, determined, and goal-oriented
Strong planning and organizational skills
