Job Description
The Sales and Marketing Officers will be responsible for driving sales growth through the promotion of airline tickets and tourism products. The role involves engaging with clients, building partnerships with other service providers, conducting market research, managing customer relationships, and executing promotional campaigns. Officers will also be expected to provide accurate travel advice, resolve customer complaints, and monitor competitor activity. They will prepare and present performance reports and collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
Sell air tickets and travel packages to individuals and corporate clients.
Develop and maintain strong customer relationships.
Identify new business opportunities and secure partnerships with hotels, tour operators, and agencies.
Negotiate and close sales deals with bulk and corporate clients.
Marketing & Promotions
Develop and implement marketing strategies and digital campaigns.
Promote services through social media, events, and travel expos.
Represent the company at industry events and exhibitions.
Customer Service
Provide expert advice on bookings, travel requirements, and flight schedules.
Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and resolve issues effectively.
Ensure a high standard of customer service is maintained throughout the client journey.
Market Research
Monitor travel industry trends and competitor strategies.
Recommend competitive pricing models.
Collect customer feedback and use insights to improve services.
Reporting & Performance Tracking
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports.
Track campaign effectiveness and suggest enhancements.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education & Experience
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, Tourism, or related field.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in sales, marketing, or travel consultancy.
Familiarity with airline reservation systems such as Amadeus, Galileo, or Sabre is an added advantage.
Skills and Competencies
Strong sales, negotiation, and customer service skills.
Excellent communication (verbal and written).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital marketing tools.
Ability to meet sales targets and work under pressure.
Strong teamwork, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
High levels of professionalism, integrity, and commitment.
