Job Description
The Revenue Assurance Technical Specialist will be responsible for driving end-to-end data solutions and analytics that support the organization's revenue assurance objectives. This includes building predictive models, automating data processes, and maintaining revenue assurance dashboards. The role demands a high level of data science proficiency, technical system experience, and analytical skills to identify revenue leakages and optimize business reporting. The ideal candidate must possess strong software development experience, a solid understanding of GSM and fraud detection, and advanced data processing capabilities.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Identify valuable data sources and automate collection processes
Preprocess structured and unstructured data to uncover trends and patterns
Build predictive models and machine-learning algorithms
Develop dashboards, cubes, reports, and ad hoc data access tools
Debug reporting issues and analyze SQL data sources
Manage data marts and collaborate with DBAs to resolve performance issues
Design and implement reporting standards and workflow automation tools
Extract, organize, clean, and structure data for reporting
Present insights through data visualization and written/oral reports
Develop procedures for statistical data management and analysis
Continuously propose improvements to existing reporting systems

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Minimum Qualifications:
Degree in BCom/BSc or IT-related field
GSM certification (preferred)
Experience:
2+ years in a GSM/mobile telecommunications environment
2+ years in software development
Experience with application and web servers (e.g., Apache, Tomcat)
Experience in data architecture design
Strong IT systems background
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in:
J2EE (EJB/CMP, JMS, JSP, JNDI, JDBC)
XML, XSLT, XPath, HTML, Web Services (SOAP)
RDBMS (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL), SQL, stored procedures
Linux OS (Red Hat, Ubuntu)
Programming in Python, Java, .NET, PHP
Data analysis tools such as SAS and SQL
MS Office Suite (advanced level)
Essential Knowledge:
Revenue Assurance & GSM Fraud
Advanced computer literacy
