Job Description

As part of the Provider Compensation team, this role is responsible for negotiating, evaluating, and maintaining dental provider contracts to ensure financial effectiveness and compliance with state regulations. The role involves direct communication with dental providers, data analysis, fee schedule management, and collaboration with internal teams to address contractual concerns. The position offers remote work flexibility and requires a high level of organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

  • Negotiate updates and renewals for DPPO dental provider contracts

  • Manage provider inquiries and resolve contractual concerns

  • Maintain and update provider profiling systems and fee schedules

  • Communicate contractual terms and policies to providers clearly

  • Ensure compliance with state-specific regulations, attend audits and compliance meetings

  • Use analytical skills to evaluate financial impacts and contract performance

  • Participate in cross-functional team efforts to streamline provider contracting

  • Maintain detailed records and documentation of contracting activities

  • Handle multiple priorities and projects independently

Qualifications, Education and Competencies

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, Project Management, or 5+ years in the dental insurance industry

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong organizational and analytical abilities

  • Ability to manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and web-based platforms

  • Knowledge of dental terminology and fee schedule structures

  • Ability to work independently in a goal-oriented environment


Preferred:

  • Experience in dental provider contract negotiation

  • Customer service or provider engagement experience


Technical Requirements:

  • Reliable cable broadband or fiber optic internet with minimum 10Mbps download and 5Mbps upload speeds for remote work
