BRAC Uganda specialises in taking up an idea, testing it, perfecting it and then scaling it up rapidly in a cost-efficient manner without compromising quality. We implement six programmes in thematic areas of Health, Education, Ultra-Poor Graduation, Emergency Preparedness and Response, Empowerment and Livelihood for Adolescents, and Financial Inclusion.
Take leadership during the implementation the project activities.
Participate in regular coordination meetings with all the actors in the district, the sub counties and parish levels
Support in developing and implementing weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual project work plans, project activities and budgets in line with the approved ELA plus project proposal, work plans and budgets.
Collaborate with service providers to ensure referrals to other services such as psychosocial support, mental health, and family planning and livelihoods interventions.
Assist with project risk management in the implementation of the project to minimize their occurrence and possible effects on the project in line with BRAC Risk Management policy and project risk mitigation measures.
Support effective project budget utilisation, management and monitoring for activities directly implemented and ensure project performance target on monthly and quarterly basis are achieved.
Support timely accountability for funds used to implement project in line with BRAC accounting policies and procedures and donor requirements.
Mobilise target community members, children, youth, women, families and key stakeholders from the Sub County and district level to participate ELA plus project activities.
Organise and directly facilitate trainings sessions and other capacity building initiatives for support committee members, mentors, youth groups, parents/ caregivers and male partners.
Support the establishment and strengthening of ELA plus project groups or safe spaces for empowerment of vulnerable girls
Safeguarding roles
Read, understand, practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

University degree or equivalent in Social Works, Psychology, Gender, Development studies, Adult and Community Education, Business administration related degree desired a postgraduate diploma in project planning and management is added advantage
At least 2 to 4 years work experience in implementing Protection programs, preferable social protection, Gender, human rights work or legal assistance, in humanitarian or development settings
Prior experience providing services to children, adolescents, youth and young women at risk and victims of abuse, exploitation and violence, providing gender-sensitive and youth-friendly counselling services, and/or developing/implementing referral pathways
Previous experience working with a team in a cross-cultural setting
