Concern for Girl Child is a non-government organisation established in Uganda in 2001 with the aim of empowering a vulnerable girl socially, politically and economically.

The organisation has been working diligently towards its goals of empowering girls through education, reproductive health /WASH, economic strengthening of families and advocacy initiatives.

Job Summary:
The Project coordinator will organise and coordinate programs, provide strategic guidance to the teams in ways that promote the company’s culture and oversee the progress of operations.The goal is to ensure that all programs deliver the desirable outcome to the organisation.

  • Project Management: Develop, implement, and manage the Girls' Opportunity Alliance project in alignment with the CGC goals and objectives. Coordinate all project activities, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints.

  • Partnership Building: Establish and maintain partnerships with relevant stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and community organisations. Collaborate with local and international partners to enhance the impact and reach of the project.

  • Monitoring and Evaluation: Design and implement a robust monitoring and evaluation framework to track project progress and impact. Conduct regular assessments and surveys to measure the effectiveness of interventions.

  • Capacity Building: Identify training and capacity-building initiatives for project staff and community members to empower girls and enhance community support.

  • Advocacy and Awareness: Lead advocacy efforts to raise awareness about girls' education, empowerment, and rights. Engage with media and public forums to promote the goals of the Girls' Opportunity Alliance.

  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports detailing project activities, outcomes, and challenges for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Financial Management: Cordinate the project budgets, ensuring effective allocation of resources and compliance with financial regulations.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including case studies, success stories, and lessons learned.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Social Sciences, International Development, Gender Studies, etc.).

  • Experience with livelihood skills training and development is paramount for at least 3 years.

  • Capacity to work cross-country and perform under pressure.

  • Proven experience in project management, preferably in girls' education and empowerment.

  • Strong understanding of gender issues, particularly those affecting girls in various cultural contexts.

  • Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
