Programme Manager job at Artolution

This position is responsible for supporting the management of our operations, budget and implementation of arts-based projects that will take place in the Bidibidi Refugee Camp. Children, adolescents who have experienced social exclusion, trauma and displacement are the primary participants of our programming. Art activities include digital art instruction, mural painting, Virtual Reality art-making and activities intended to strengthen the mental health and psychosocial wellbeing of participants. This program is being implemented by the New York-based non-profit organization Artolution, which is contracting with UNHCR.
Assume primary responsibility for the operational and budgetary management of a series of arts-based projects that will last for 3 months.
Manage and supervise staff and contractors on these projects.
Lead project planning and logistics planning with stakeholders, such as the centre that will host our projects. This entails organising the schedule, personnel, the materials, transportation and events, all working within a specific budget and time frame.
Ensure compliance with the UNHCR contract, proactively notifying the Artolution Global Operations Manager and CEO if issues arise.
Oversee program implementation and budget expenditures to ensure the effective use of resources against planned activities and expected outputs.
Ensure adequate project monitoring and evaluation systems are in place. This entails overseeing pre and post-project questionnaires developed by Artolution to collect data to demonstrate impact and inform ongoing program design.
Compile and prepare regular project progress reports, as required by the grantor.
Collect and organise financial evidence (receipts, time sheets, etc.) and write financial reports in coordination with Artolution HQ.
At least 5 years working experience managing/ coordinating community programs (such as educational, creative or extracurricular activities).
A University degree in a relevant field (such as project management or a related subject area) – a technical degree together with additional relevant work experience may substitute for education.
Experience working with vulnerable populations, such as refugees and marginalized groups.
Strong organizational, management and leadership skills.
Demonstrated ability to establish strong working relationships with a variety of partners and stakeholders, such as NGOs/ UN agencies, administrators, facilitators and beneficiaries.
Good interpersonal and team building skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Computer skills such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
Excellent skills in writing technical and programmatic documents, such as work plans, budgets, and reports.
Full written and verbal English. Other languages will also be helpful, as we serve diverse populations.
Knowledge of local cultures.
