Job Description
As the Product Lead for the Cash Delivery Platform, you will be responsible for defining the product vision, roadmap, and technical architecture of GiveDirectly’s cash delivery systems. This includes features such as survey building, eligibility verification, fraud detection, case management, and payment integration. You will collaborate across teams—engineering, field, research, and program operations—to build a scalable, efficient, and recipient-centered platform. This role requires someone with extensive experience building software products from scratch, high technical fluency, and strong stakeholder management skills.
You will report to the VP of Technology and travel to program sites quarterly. The role is fully remote but requires at least 3 hours of overlap with East Africa time zones.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Define the long-term product vision for the cash delivery platform
Design flexible and scalable platform architecture supporting core operations
Prioritize product features across eligibility, fraud prevention, surveys, and payments
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align product goals with field realities
Lead product lifecycle from problem discovery through launch and iteration
Set and track success metrics for platform performance
Engage closely with engineers on technical design, APIs, and system architecture
Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences
Travel to program sites once per quarter for 1–2 weeks
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
At least 8 years of experience in technical software product management
Proven success leading multiple full-cycle, zero-to-one product builds
High technical fluency and experience working closely with engineers
Deep empathy for users, especially those with limited digital literacy
Exceptional communication and collaboration skills across diverse backgrounds
Analytical mindset and structured prioritization skills
Experience operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
Bonus: Experience working in low-income communities or challenging connectivity environments
