Procurement managers play a pivotal role in ensuring that an organization's supply chain functions smoothly and efficiently. Their duties typically encompass various aspects of sourcing, purchasing, and managing the acquisition of goods and services needed for the organization's operations.

  • Strategic Planning: Procurement managers develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the organization's goals and objectives. They analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and demand forecasts to optimize sourcing and procurement processes.

  • Supplier Management: They identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on factors such as quality, price, reliability, and responsiveness. Procurement managers negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and ensure continuity of supply.

  • Vendor Relationships: Procurement managers cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors. They communicate regularly with suppliers to assess performance, address issues, and collaborate on improving processes and outcomes.

  • Procurement Process Improvement: They continuously evaluate and streamline procurement processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and mitigate risks.   • 6 years in a progressive procurement role in a reputable organization

  • Experience in procuring heavy Machinery is desirable 3. Experience in handling international procurement processes is a MUST


Education:

  • Bachelor of Procurement and Supplies Management or a degree in a related field

  • Post Graduate Diploma in Procurement and Supply Chain management is a MUST
