Process Design and Development:
Design and develop new processes for production or improve existing ones.
Create process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for process improvements.
Process Optimization:
Analyze and optimize existing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
Implement process control strategies and statistical process control (SPC).
Conduct root cause analysis for process deviations and implement corrective actions.
Process Monitoring and Control:
Monitor process performance and collect data to ensure consistent quality and efficiency.
Use process control software and instrumentation to regulate process variables (e.g., temperature, pressure, flow rates).
Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for process monitoring.
Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving:
Diagnose and resolve process-related issues that impact production.
Work with cross-functional teams to address process bottlenecks and failures.
Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to mitigate process disruptions.
Safety and Compliance:
Ensure that processes comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Conduct risk assessments and develop hazard analysis and critical control points (HACCP) plans.
Promote and enforce safety standards and protocols within the production environment.

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing) are advantageous.
Experience:
Relevant experience in process engineering, typically 3-5 years in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Experience with process design, optimization, and control in specific industries (e.g., chemical, pharmaceutical, food & beverage) is beneficial.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS).
Knowledge of process control systems, instrumentation, and automation (e.g., PLC, SCADA).
Strong analytical skills and familiarity with statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, JMP).
Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills:
Excellent problem-solving abilities to diagnose and resolve complex process issues.
Strong analytical skills to interpret process data and implement improvements.
Ability to conduct root cause analysis and develop effective solutions.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
Effective verbal and written communication skills for reporting and documentation.
Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Ability to present technical information clearly and concisely to non-technical audiences.
Attention to Detail:
High level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy in process design and monitoring.
Strong organizational skills for managing multiple tasks and maintaining thorough records.
Knowledge of Standards and Regulations:
Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to process engineering.
Understanding of safety, health, and environmental regulations.
