We are seeking a qualified, experienced, and results-driven Photo Editor to join our Editorial Department. Reporting to the Head of News Production, the successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, editing, and curating compelling images for use across print, digital, and multimedia platforms.

How to Apply
Select, edit, and enhance photographs for news stories, features, advertisements, and digital media.
Collaborate with reporters, designers, and video editors to ensure visual content aligns with editorial and brand standards.
Lead and manage a team of photographers, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
Source images from freelance photographers and stock libraries when necessary.
Organize and maintain a digital asset management system for efficient storage and retrieval.
Ensure compliance with copyright laws and internal policies on image licensing.
Stay current with trends in photojournalism and emerging visual technologies.
Work with marketing and social media teams to optimize images for multiple platforms.
Retouch and manipulate images while maintaining journalistic integrity.
Coordinate special photo shoots and visual storytelling projects as needed.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Photography, Visual Arts, Journalism, or a related field.
Experience: 3–5 years in photo editing, preferably in a media or journalism setting.
Core Competencies
Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and related editing software.
Strong understanding of image composition, color correction, and retouching.
Experience managing photography teams and visual content workflows.
Working knowledge of copyright and licensing laws.
Ability to meet tight deadlines and perform well under pressure.
Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
Familiarity with CMS platforms and social media content management.
Knowledge of AI-driven editing tools and emerging visual media technologies.
Skills in video editing or graphic design are an added advantage.
