Job Description
The Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for the precise preparation and dispensing of prescribed medications, ensuring that pharmaceutical inventory is effectively managed and monitored. They will also engage in educating patients about medication use and adherence, while working closely with pharmacists and other healthcare staff to promote the safe and effective use of drugs. The technician must stay up to date with Kenyan pharmacy laws and contribute to excellent service delivery within the pharmacy environment.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Accurately prepare and dispense medications to patients.
Monitor and manage the pharmaceutical inventory, ensuring stock levels are adequate.
Assist in patient education regarding dosage, usage, and adherence to prescribed treatments.
Work closely with pharmacists and healthcare teams to ensure safe medication practices.
Maintain records and ensure compliance with pharmacy laws and regulations.
Support the pharmacy’s operational workflow and uphold quality standards.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Diploma in Pharmacy.
Registered with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board of Kenya.
At least one (1) year of working experience in a similar role.
Sound understanding of pharmacy laws and best practices in Kenya.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Willingness to relocate and work in Mombasa.
