The Uganda Marathon was the brainchild of Henry, Andy, Nick and Moses. Four old friends who came together to improve the lives of the vulnerable in the Masaka region of Uganda. In 2014 they came together to create a special and unique event – a sporting event and cultural festival full of love, fun and adventure. They wanted to create a way to show people from all over the world the beauty of Uganda, the fantastic warm, friendly welcome of its people and the amazing story of hope and promise in the country.
