The Mountains of the Moon University, is a public university in Uganda. Founded as a private, non-profit institution, the university became a public institution following an executive directive in January 2018. It is named after the Rwenzori Mountains, also known as the Mountains of the Moon.

Mountains of the Moon University (MMU)
Office Attendants, also known as Office Assistants or Office Helpers, perform a variety of tasks to support the smooth operation of an office.
General Office Maintenance
Cleaning and Tidying: Ensure that the office space, including workstations, meeting rooms, and common areas, are clean, organized, and well-maintained. This may involve dusting, vacuuming, emptying trash bins, and restocking supplies like paper, pens, and toiletries.
Mail and Courier Services: Sort, distribute, and deliver incoming mail, packages, and documents to the appropriate recipients within the office. Prepare outgoing mail and arrange courier services as needed.
Refreshment Management: Prepare and serve beverages like tea, coffee, or water to staff and visitors. Ensure that the pantry or kitchen area is clean, stocked, and organized.
Administrative Support
Document Handling: Assist in photocopying, scanning, and filing documents, ensuring that all paperwork is organized and easily accessible.
Errand Running: Perform errands outside the office, such as picking up or delivering documents, purchasing office supplies, or handling banking tasks.
Meeting Room Setup: Prepare meeting rooms before meetings by arranging furniture, setting up equipment like projectors or conference phones, and ensuring that the room is clean and ready for use.
Assisting Staff: Provide general assistance to office staff, such as helping with minor tasks or errands, moving furniture or supplies, and setting up workstations for new employees.
Visitor Assistance
Reception Support: Greet and assist visitors or clients, direct them to the appropriate person or department, and ensure they are comfortable while waiting.
Visitor Management: Maintain a log of visitors, ensuring that security protocols are followed, such as issuing visitor badges and informing staff of their arrival.

A minimum of O' Level Certificate with a credit in English.
Experience and Competences
Should have at least two (2) years of working experience as an Office Assistant/Attendant or messenger or
Cleaner with a reputable private or public institution.
Should demonstrate the following skills and competences:
Proven experience as a back-office assistant, office assistant, virtual assistant or in another relevant administrative role
Knowledge of "back-office computer systems (ERP software)
Working knowledge of office equipment
Thorough understanding of office management procedures
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Analytical abilities and aptitude in problem-solving
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in MS Office
