Job Description
The Facility Assistant will work closely with the Facility Manager to handle a wide range of responsibilities including maintenance scheduling, service provider liaison, inventory tracking, utility monitoring, safety compliance, and workspace organization. The role is designed for a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills and a proactive mindset. As part of AmaliTech’s National Service Programme, the selected candidate will gain hands-on experience in facility operations and workplace management within a growing, dynamic tech organization.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Schedule and coordinate routine maintenance and emergency repairs.
Inspect facilities regularly for safety hazards and maintenance issues.
Liaise with external service providers to ensure quality service delivery.
Manage inventory of facility supplies, furniture, and equipment.
Assist with procurement and vendor coordination.
Monitor utilities and support timely payments.
Help implement energy-saving and sustainability initiatives.
Maintain seating plans and support workspace changes.
Assist in fire safety and first aid training coordination.
Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards and report incidents.
Keep accurate records of maintenance schedules, contracts, and inventories.
Prepare periodic reports on facility operations.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
HND or BSc in Facility Management, Building Technology, Engineering, or related field.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic knowledge of maintenance and safety protocols is advantageous.
Attention to detail with a problem-solving attitude.
Knowledge of Sign Language is an added advantage.
