Job Description
The key purpose of this role is to maintain, repair and optimize the energy and fluid plant and associated devices to ensure plant availability and product quality at minimum cost without sacrificing standards. Maintain a safe and healthy working environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
Comply with VPO safety, health and environmental policies, procedures and legislation
Maintain safety and housekeeping standards
Locate plant, equipment, spares and relevant documentation and or systems
Plan and prepare the job
Carry out repairs / maintenance
Operate workshop equipment
Stop and start Utilities equipment.
Ensure plant availability
Optimise usage of resources
Support the team to improve process quality
Facilitate team problem solving
Monitor trends and initiate corrective action
Perform running schedules
Communicate effectively in teams
Contribute to self and team development

Qualifications and Competencies
Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical)
Ammonia CAT A & B Certification .
Min – 3 - 5 years in a Utilities Brewery production environment
1-3 Years technical mechanical/electrical and Utilities experience in a leadership capacity in a FMCG environment
Have fundamentals of utilities
Advanced utilities
Utilities Plant experience in Steam Plant, Ammonia Refrigeration, CO2 Plant, Water Treatment & Compressed Air
