Job Description
The Legal & Regulatory Affairs Internship offers participants the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals in a dynamic corporate legal setting. Interns will gain practical experience in reviewing contracts, supporting regulatory compliance processes, and contributing to the drafting of legal documents and internal policies. This program also includes participation in leadership coaching, a CSR project, and integration into the MPA Accelerator Alumni network, ensuring continued learning and professional growth. Interns will benefit from a monthly stipend and access to structured learning and development courses.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation and review of legal and regulatory documentation
Support the legal team with research on telecom laws, compliance, and case law
Participate in the review and drafting of contracts and internal policies
Assist in maintaining regulatory compliance records and legal files
Contribute to legal risk assessments and audits
Participate in CSR initiatives and team-building activities
Engage in learning sessions and coaching from leadership
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Eligibility Criteria:
Aged between 21–26 years
Completed undergraduate studies in Law or a related field within the past year or awaiting graduation
Not currently in permanent employment
Available for 6 continuous months
Competencies:
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Understanding of Kenyan legal and regulatory frameworks (especially telecommunications or corporate law is a plus)
Research and analytical skills
Integrity, attention to detail, and a commitment to learning
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
