Job Description
Research, translate, write, and narrate scripts in local languages.
Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Research, translate, write, and narrate scripts in local languages. (Luganda/Runyankole)
Ensure timely editing of programs for broadcast or distribution.
Uphold the highest standards of production quality.
Actively participate in editorial meetings and contribute innovative solutions to editorial challenges.
Manage relationships with a range of stakeholders to support our organization's objectives.
Engage with our audience across various online and offline platforms.
Oversee the production process of content in local languages.
Qualifications and Competencies
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in a related field, with a preference for Mass Communication or related disciplines.
At least two years of relevant experience in content production and language localization.
Proficiency in English and in one of these local languages; Luganda or Runyankole, proficiency in both local languages will be an added advantage.
Demonstrated evidence of strong writing skills in the local language.
Knowledge of audio editing skills is preferable.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
