FHI 360 is implementing the USAID Maternal Child Health and Nutrition (USAID MCHN) Activity, a five-year program (January 2020 - December 2024) funded by USAID to improve maternal, newborn, child health, and nutrition (MNCH) outcomes in Uganda. The Activity also supports improved delivery of MNCH services in Kampala through strengthening service delivery systems in both public and private sectors.
To achieve its objectives, FHI 360 is seeking an individual to support its knowledge management and documentation efforts
The Knowledge Management and Communication Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing effective strategies to capture, document, and disseminate the results and learning from the organization's projects and programs.
The specialist will work closely with technical teams, partners, and stakeholders to produce high-quality communication products, such as reports, briefs, newsletters, blogs, social media posts, webinars, and presentations.
The specialist will also support the design and maintenance of knowledge management platforms, such as websites, databases, and repositories.
The specialist will ensure compliance with FHI 360's branding and editorial guidelines, as well as donor requirements.

To qualify for this position, the candidate should have a master's degree in communication, journalism, international development, or a related field, and at least five years of relevant experience in knowledge management and communication for development projects.
The candidate should have excellent writing, editing, and oral communication skills in English, and preferably in another language.
The candidate should also have strong skills in graphic design, web development, and multimedia production.
The candidate should be able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and multicultural environment.
The candidate should have a passion for learning and sharing knowledge to advance FHI 360's mission and vision.
