Job Summary: As part of our commitment to fostering talent and nurturing future leaders, we are offering internship positions to three motivated and ambitious students from the Tilenga area districts of; Bullisa, Nwoya, Pakwach, Hoima, Kikube and Masindi. The students must apply from within the mentioned area districts. The selected students will be attached to the following companies namely UAP Old Mutual, Uganda Insurers Association and Uganda Reinsurance Company. The internship will take a period of one 1) month and will be fully facilitated by the Insurance Consortium for Oil and Gas Uganda (ICOGU).
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with team members, participating in meetings and collaborating on projects.
Develop teamwork and communication skills by interacting with colleagues and supervisors.
Technical Skills Application:
Utilize technical skills and knowledge relevant to the industry, such as programming, graphic design, marketing, finance, or engineering.
Operate specific software, tools, or equipment as required.
Creative Contributions:
Contribute to the creative process by developing ideas, creating content, or assisting in the production of marketing materials, presentations, or other outputs.
Fieldwork:
Depending on the internship, participate in fieldwork, site visits, or practical activities outside the office environment.
Feedback & Evaluation:
Seek and receive feedback from supervisors and mentors to improve performance and skills.
Reflect on the learning experience and document progress and achievements.
Special Projects:
Occasionally, interns may be assigned a special project or task that allows them to demonstrate their skills and initiative.
Education:
Typically, internships require candidates to be currently enrolled in a degree program (undergraduate or graduate) or to have recently graduated.
The specific field of study should align with the industry or department offering the internship.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Good organizational and time management abilities.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Basic technical skills relevant to the industry (e.g., proficiency in Microsoft Office, programming languages, design software).
