Job Description
The position involves managing day-to-day hotel operations, including reservations, guest check-ins, staff supervision, customer service, financial reporting, and adherence to hospitality standards. The manager will also lead marketing and branding initiatives, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, handle customer feedback, and implement strategies to maximize revenue and asset returns. The successful candidate will work closely with top management and will also be responsible for developing a motivated and innovative team.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Promote the company brand through professional service and marketing.
Oversee reservations and guest check-ins.
Ensure full compliance with regulatory and industry standards.
Lead and manage a professional and innovative team.
Handle customer inquiries, requests, and complaints efficiently.
Perform administrative duties to support the hotel's daily operations.
Manage financial operations to ensure optimal returns on assets.
Maintain a balanced scorecard to monitor operational performance.
Plan and execute promotional and hospitality events.
Report directly to management on hotel performance and issues.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Educational Requirements:
Minimum of First Degree, HND, or Diploma in Hospitality Management, Marketing, Communication, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years post-national service experience in a similar hospitality management role.
Competencies and Skills:
Strong team leadership and interpersonal skills.
Numeracy and effective communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to work under minimal supervision.
Bilingual (French or German) is an added advantage.
Must have a pleasant and professional demeanor.
Willingness to relocate to Winneba or surrounding areas (relocation at own expense).
