Reach Out Mbuya Community Health Initiative formerly known as Reach Out Mbuya Parish HIV/AIDS Initiative (ROM) is a community-based non-governmental organization working with the urban and rural poor communities currently in 6 districts and ready to expand further. ROM provides a unique model of care to People Living with HIV and where necessary their families; taking care of the medical, social, emotional, and economical aspects of their lives to foster dignified living.
The program initiated in May 2001 at Our Lady of Africa Mbuya Catholic Parish to address the AIDS scourge in the slum communities of the Parish has since experienced rapid growth scaling up further beyond the parish jurisdiction. Starting with 14 HIV+ clients in 2001, currently ≥7000 are served annually.

Reach Out Mbuya Community Health Initiative (ROM)
The HIV/TB Technical Officer holds the responsibility of planning, coordinating, implementing, and monitoring project activities, encompassing TB/HIV, Pediatric/Adolescent HIV care & treatment and NCD integration services as well as AHD/VL/DSDM/Community Pharmacy activities. This role includes providing technical support, oversight, and applying Quality Improvement (QI) principles to enhance the services in these areas.
Responsibilities and duties
Provide technical support to facilities for effective implementation of TB/HIV, AHD/VL/DSDM/Community Pharmacy activities.
Lead mentorship and training efforts to build the capacity of facility teams to deliver high-quality TB and HIV/AIDS care services
Collaborate with facility teams to help achieve key TB/HIV, AHD/VL/DSDM/Community Pharmacy targets.
Coordinate and support all project areas related to TB/HIV, AHD/VL/DSDM/Community Pharmacy activities.
Provide technical support to facilities for effective implementation of Paediatric/Adolescent/NCD integration
Develop and implement monthly and quarterly work plans, ensuring the successful implementation of planned activities.
Work with community-based teams to generate progress reports for internal and external sharing, including weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
A Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) and a Masters degree in Public Health or related field is an added advantage.
A minimum of 2 years working experience in TB/HIV, Paed/Adolescent/NCD care and program work
Excellent technical writing, data collection, analysis, reporting skills; oral and written communication skills

Qualifications, Skills and Experience
A Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) and a Masters degree in Public Health or related field is an added advantage.
A minimum of 2 years working experience in TB/HIV, Paed/Adolescent/NCD care and program work
Excellent technical writing, data collection, analysis, reporting skills; oral and written communication skills
