Create, validate and maintain a Geophysics referential and a reference dataset to ensure efficient Geophysical-related workflows- Integration of the new PSDM processing delivered.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create, validate and maintain a Geophysics referential and a reference dataset to ensure efficient Geophysical-related workflows- Integration of the new PSDM processing delivered.

  • Contribute to the improvement of the team's geophysics skills and the coaching of the geophysicists/geoscientists to secure the advancement of the global geophysical work and the technical quality of the work performed by Company geophysicists.

  • Provide technical assurance of the analysis, the interpretation, and the synthesis of the seismic data.

  • Accountable for providing pertinent and valid geophysical input to the documentation & reporting required by the stakeholders. Accountable for providing the geophysical inputs of Well SORS in close collaboration with the geologists, reservoir engineers, Operation Geology & drilling teams (objectives, well trajectory, target box, section TD criteria, data acquisition.

  • Accountable to provide geophysical support during drilling operations.

  • Participate in the decision-making progress to safely deliver the wells and achieve their objectives, markers interpretation, stratigraphical interpretation, lithological assessment.

  • Responsible for identifying, scoping and following-up the geophysical-related studies carried by the technical line in HQ in collaboration with Customer Line Onshore upstream.

  • Accountable for the quality & pertinence of the geophysical data and studies carried out in the Company. Apply the best practice in managing these data, together with the Geoinformation team.

  • Accountable for the well's results integration during the development drilling campaign to prepare and optimize the design other the next well and/or pads.

  • Responsible for the follow-up of the geophysical activities related to the non-operated asset (Kingsfisher)

  • Contribute to the deployment of geophysical techniques to monitor the cap rock integrity, the acquisition, the processing and the interpretation of the associated data.

  • Transparent technical communication with JV partners and authorities, workshops, presentations, documentation.

  • Propose ideas to reduce the environmental footprint of the Tilenga project.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master's degree (or equivalent) in Geoscience disciplines.

  • Minimum of 12 years of demonstrated experience as Senior Reservoir Geophysicist including: reservoir development of operated asset in Company Exploration & Production Affiliates (well planning - WSOR and delivery), integrated geoscience and reservoir studies in headquarter, seismic QC, seismic processing/inversion, structural interpretation, Time-to-depth conversion, seismic well calibration, uncertainty analysis and reservoir characterization.

  • Experience in Overburden/Cap Rock monitoring is a plus.

  • Successful team management in a context of short deadline.

  • Competencies: Strong coaching and communication skills, strong ability to work in a cross functional environment.
