The role in Credit Risk entails other business partners to analyse and develop strategies for credit originations in various channels, to achieve profitable growth of the asset book while maintaining credit risk within acceptable levels.
The Head of Credit Analysis & Approvals at NCBA Bank Uganda is responsible for leading and managing the credit analysis and approval function for the bank.
The role entails overseeing the preparation and review of credit proposals, ensuring compliance with credit policies and procedures, and making sound credit decisions based on thorough analysis and due diligence.
The Head of Credit Analysis & Approvals also provides guidance and coaching to the credit analysts and approvers, and liaises with other stakeholders such as business units, risk management, and internal audit.

To qualify for this position, the candidate should have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field, and at least 10 years of experience in credit analysis and approval in a banking environment.
The candidate should also have strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, as well as a high level of integrity and professionalism.
Additionally, the candidate should be familiar with the regulatory framework and industry best practices for credit risk management in Uganda.
