Job Description
The Group Product Head – Agent Services will work closely with the Group Head of Payments and key stakeholders to define and execute a robust strategy for agent services. This role will oversee the design and rollout of agent banking and payment systems, identify business opportunities, and drive innovation in service delivery.
The position involves managing a cross-functional team, resolving operational challenges, and delivering customer and agent-centric solutions. The incumbent will also work closely with commercial and technology teams within subsidiaries to identify emerging trends and technologies that enhance customer experience and business growth. This role requires an agile mindset, excellent stakeholder engagement, and a proactive approach to compliance, innovation, and risk mitigation.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Group Head of Payments to define and implement the agent services strategy.
Design, develop, and deploy agent banking and payment solutions aligned with global best practices.
Provide leadership and technical direction to the agent services team.
Coordinate with subsidiaries to identify high-impact agent categories and growth opportunities.
Resolve existing pain points and drive improvements in agent and customer experiences.
Oversee day-to-day activities of the agent services squad, ensuring timely and effective delivery of initiatives.
Promote innovation in agent banking services and support the integration of emerging technologies.
Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes affecting agent services.
Collaborate with departments including compliance, technology, risk, and commercial to align strategy and reduce risk.
Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, partners, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years' experience in product management and payment systems.
Proven ability to deliver complex projects and lead agile teams.
Strong background in banking systems, agency banking, POS, and API technologies.
Experience in stakeholder engagement and team leadership.
Key Competencies:
Deep understanding of compliance and regulatory standards in agency banking.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
