Deadline: 26th March 2025
Posting of transactions within the core banking system, including preparation and posting of batches to the respective general ledger locations. Timely accrual of expenses and releasing of prepayments to the respective expense GLs.
Reconciliation and preparation of schedules for the allocated GLs and resolution of any issues arising. Review of the branch income and expense GLs to ensure accuracy of postings.
Maintenance of the archives to ensure security of documents and chronological filing to ensure ease of retrieval and availability of the documents upon request.
Update of the fixed assets register including its reconciliation to the accounts and preparation journal entries/batches.
Regular update of IFRS 16 model and the related notes for financial statements
Review of vouchers before approval to ensure that they meet the specified internal controls.
Timely resolution of audit issues.
Payroll review and reconciliation against relevant GLs.
Preparation of tax and NSSF returns.
Support preparation of financial statements
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Commerce, Business Statistics majorly in finance, Accounting and Economics.
At least 2 years’ experience in Financial industry, corporate finance, financial planning, analysis, investment and other related fields.
CPA level 2 (as a minimum).
Knowledge, Skills & Competences
Knowledge of accounting, operational and financial reporting.
Strong working knowledge of Excel
Self-starter with strong interpersonal / Communication skills
Excellent Analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills.
Good attention to accuracy and detail.
Strong accounting background.
Self-discipline and drive to work with well aligned standard career ambitions.
