Job Description
The successful candidate will lead the Finance and Operations division and collaborate with the executive team to define and execute strategic objectives. They will manage financial planning, audits, reporting, and risk management processes while mentoring a high-performing team. The role also involves ensuring full compliance with FSCA regulations and implementing streamlined operations that enhance productivity and financial sustainability.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Collaborate with the executive team to define and execute strategic company vision
Provide financial insights to support business planning and decision-making
Oversee financial operations, audits, and reporting
Ensure compliance with Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) regulations
Develop and implement efficient operational processes to enhance performance
Identify, assess, and manage financial and operational risks
Lead, mentor, and manage the finance and operations team to ensure optimal performance
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Investments, or a related field
Professional qualifications such as CFA, CA(SA), or CPA are highly preferred
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the financial services industry, ideally in fund administration or investment management
Strong background in financial management and investment operations
Skills & Competencies:
Analytical and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
Proven ability to navigate complex financial and operational challenges
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Demonstrated capability to lead teams and drive efficiency in a fast-paced environment
