Job Description

The successful candidate will manage daily financial entries, prepare tax and expense reports, monitor stock levels, and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal policies. They will also collaborate with other departments to facilitate smooth operations, oversee front desk systems and procedures, and support customer service. The role requires flexibility, attention to detail, and the ability to work cross-functionally in a dynamic environment.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

Finance:

  • Monitor and review daily expenses and keep well-organized accounting files.

  • Review and validate weekly cash and bank transactions.

  • Import expenses into accounting software and reconcile entries.

  • Perform weekly account closure and generate financial reports.

  • Prepare tax return schedules (VAT, levies, withholding taxes).

  • Conduct and document weekly stock counts.

Administration/Reception:

  • Work with the Manager to ensure timely renewal of licenses and permits.

  • Coordinate with units (housekeeping, maintenance, F&B) for smooth operations.

  • Supervise front desk activities, ensuring SOP compliance.

  • Maintain accurate records of guest information for legal compliance.

  • Understand hostel services and room categories to assist guest inquiries.

  • Handle reservations, walk-ins, check-ins/outs, and payments.

  • Ensure services and facilities (Wi-Fi, pool, utilities) are functioning properly.

  • Support other departments (e.g., bar, breakfast service, housekeeping) as needed.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies

  • 1–3 years of experience in finance and administration, preferably in hospitality.

  • Educational background in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.

  • Strong skills in accounting software and reservation systems.

  • Excellent organization, multitasking, and attention to detail.

  • Proactive and self-motivated with a guest-first attitude.

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Willingness to work flexible hours including night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
