Job Description
The Finance Analyst - Marketing is responsible for end-to-end budgetary control, overseeing marketing investments, particularly within the A&P domain. The role involves close collaboration with the marketing and sales leadership teams to ensure alignment with the company's strategic objectives. Key duties include managing a budget of approximately Kes 8 billion, translating activity calendars into detailed financial plans, driving efficient spend allocation, providing financial support for long-term marketing activities, and monitoring spend to ensure compliance with the budget. The role also involves supporting post-activity evaluation, identifying productivity opportunities, and ensuring SAP system accuracy for A&P effectiveness analysis.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Manage a budget of approximately Kes 8 billion for marketing and advertising investments.
Support the formulation of marketing business plans, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
Drive planning and forecasting of brand budgets, translating activity calendars into detailed financial plans.
Collaborate with marketing leadership to allocate advertising budgets across different spend items and priorities.
Handle queries related to advertising and promotions across the organization.
Support accurate and timely financial reporting of advertising spend.
Monitor and drive efficiency in spend in line with both global and local guidelines.
Ensure all activity costs are captured accurately in the internal orders and do not exceed the set budgets.
Lead strategic brand investment planning using business tools to ensure both short-term and long-term returns.
Act as the finance lead for strategic marketing projects.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Degree-level education with a strong academic record.
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
CPA qualification required.
Experience in FMCG and SAP Systems.
Highly analytical with strong curiosity and initiative.
Ability to take ownership and drive projects.
Open to learning and coaching.
