Job Description
The Finance, Administration, and HR Manager will oversee day-to-day financial operations, HR management, and administrative processes for WildLandscapes International East Africa (WLEA). The role includes implementing internal controls, managing payroll and compliance, preparing donor reports, overseeing procurement, and supporting audits and organizational planning. The successful candidate will also serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and collaborate with international teams to ensure alignment across global operations.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Financial Management
Oversee bookkeeping, cash flow monitoring, and budget tracking
Maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks Online
Manage accounts payable/receivable and reconcile statements
Prepare financial reports for internal and donor use
Ensure compliance with local financial regulations and donor policies
Lead budget development and financial forecasting
Coordinate audits and implement recommendations
Administration and Operations
Oversee procurement, office operations, and vendor management
Maintain contracts, service agreements, and legal compliance
Organize logistics for meetings, retreats, and board sessions
Human Resources and Payroll
Manage recruitment, onboarding, and employee documentation
Process payroll and statutory deductions (NSSF, NHIF, PAYE)
Support performance management and staff development
Advise on HR policy updates in line with Kenyan labor laws
Systems and Strategic Support
Partner with the CEO on organizational planning and decision-making
Ensure alignment of financial and administrative practices globally
Liaise with external partners including vendors, auditors, and banks
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, HR Management, or related field
CPA qualification or equivalent is strongly preferred
Experience:
5–7 years of experience in finance, HR, and administration, preferably in a nonprofit or donor-funded environment
Familiarity with Kenyan tax, labor, and financial regulations
Experience working with international donors and partners
Competencies:
Strong leadership, planning, and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in QuickBooks Online and MS Office
Proven ability to develop and implement systems for operational efficiency
