  • Labor and Delivery Support: During labor and childbirth, Enrolled Midwives assist women with pain management techniques, monitor labor progress, and provide emotional support to both the mother and her family members.

  • Delivery Assistance: Enrolled Midwives may assist with the delivery process, including conducting deliveries of uncomplicated births, monitoring maternal and fetal well-being, and providing guidance on pushing techniques and positioning.

  • Postpartum Care: After childbirth, Enrolled Midwives provide care to both the mother and newborn, including monitoring vital signs, assessing for complications, providing breastfeeding support, and educating new mothers on newborn care and postpartum recovery.

  • Family Planning and Reproductive Health Services: Enrolled Midwives may provide counseling and education on family planning methods, contraceptive options, and sexual health. They may also offer services such as contraceptive counseling, insertion of intrauterine devices (IUDs), and administration of contraceptive injections.

They may conduct classes, workshops, or individual counseling sessions to address specific needs and concerns.

  • Screening and Assessment: Enrolled Midwives conduct routine screenings and assessments during prenatal visits, including blood pressure measurements, urine testing, and fetal heart rate monitoring. They may also perform clinical assessments to identify potential risk factors or complications during pregnancy.
