Job Description
This role involves the design and implementation of programs and strategies that promote a positive employee experience, foster organizational culture change, and ensure compliance with employee relations standards. The role holder will collaborate with HR and leadership to embed a customer-centric and high-performance culture while ensuring alignment with legal standards and HR best practices. They will handle staff grievance cases, coordinate welfare initiatives, promote wellness and inclusion, and lead efforts to assess and enhance employee satisfaction and engagement.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Culture Transformation & Employee Experience (40%)
Co-develop and implement culture transformation and employee experience strategies.
Map employee lifecycle and improve touchpoints based on feedback.
Design frameworks to assess and enhance employee engagement.
Promote organizational wellness, including mental and physical well-being.
Lead recognition programs and develop internal employer branding.
Measure and assess employee engagement through surveys and other tools.
Collaborate on communication plans that amplify employee voice.
Grievance Handling, Disciplinary & Labour Relations (30%)
Manage grievance cases and disciplinary procedures.
Liaise with legal and HR teams on disciplinary and litigation matters.
Ensure compliance with labor laws and HR policies.
Maintain and update disciplinary trackers and documentation.
Guide managers and staff on conduct management practices.
Staff Welfare, Wellness & Inclusion (30%)
Drive employee welfare campaigns and events.
Coordinate wellness programs, mentorship initiatives (e.g., SheThrives, ManCave).
Facilitate internal surveys to inform staff welfare interventions.
Promote psychological safety and trust within the organization.
Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver inclusive and engaging staff events.
Investigate staff welfare-related concerns and recommend resolutions.
Key Performance Indicators:
HR Process Net Promoter Score (NPS)
Employee Engagement Survey scores
Turnover rate of top talent
TAT for grievance and disciplinary issues
Participation in wellness and mentorship programs
Internal DEIB metrics
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
Postgraduate Diploma in HRM or legal qualification (mandatory)
Postgraduate degree in HRM or related area (added advantage)
Experience:
4–6 years in Human Resource Management
At least 3–4 years in Employee Relations or Industrial Relations
Knowledge & Skills:
Sound knowledge of HR policies, labour laws, and employee engagement
Proven ability to manage cultural transformation initiatives
Strong communication, leadership, planning, and customer service skills
Membership with IHRM
