The Embroidery Specialist is responsible for operating and maintaining embroidery machines to create high-quality embroidered products. This role involves interpreting design specifications, preparing materials, and ensuring the precise execution of embroidery projects.

Mtindo is a social enterprise in Gulu, Uganda committed to creating economic opportunities for female youth. We do this through our tailoring studio which creates employment for women and through our tailoring academy which provides education in tailoring and fashion design to female youth.
Embroidery Machine Operation:
Operate and maintain embroidery machines with precision and attention to detail.
Set up and load designs into embroidery machines, ensuring accurate placement and alignment.
Design Interpretation:
Interpret and follow design specifications and instructions provided for each embroidery project.
Adjust machine settings as needed to achieve the desired embroidery results.
Digitizing
Assist customers in selecting and digitizing embroidery designs to meet their specific requirements.
Provide recommendations on thread colors, stitch types, and other design elements.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
Perform routine maintenance on embroidery machines to ensure optimal performance.
Troubleshoot and address any technical issues that may arise during the embroidery process.
Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate records of completed projects. including design details, materials used, and production times.
Document any challenges encountered during the embroidery process and the solutions applied.

High school diploma or equivalent. Candidates with additional vocational training or certification in embroidery techniques will be given high priority.
