Kakira Sugar Limited (KSL) is one of the oldest sugar milling companies in Uganda and the flagship enterprise of the Madhvani Group. Established by Muljibhai Prabhudas Madhvani (14th May 1894 – 11th July 1958), the company was first set up in 1930, with the capacity to crush 150 tonnes of cane per day.

To install, repair and maintain electrical appliances and ensure constant supply of electricity in staff houses at all times.
Repair and replace lighting fittings.
Arrange and carry out relevant repairs and maintenance schedules for electrical appliances in the staff quarters.
Report any faults, which may be dangerous to electricity users in their premises.
Arrange for and carry out new wiring or extension in staff houses.
Operate the public address systems for company activities.
Install water heaters, ceiling fans, cooler units etc.
Keep accurate records of materials used during repairs for proper accountability.
Receive acknowledgement notes of materials used from concerned staff.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
Adhere to the safety, health and environment policy of the company.
Perform any other related duties as may be assigned to you by Supervisor – Electrical/ management from time to time.

Experience, Skills and Competences:
A minimum of one (1) year hands on experience in relevant field. Knowledge in electrical safety precautions, electrical power handling principles, first aid treatment for electric shocks, good communication and interpersonal skills.
