Quality Plastics (U) Ltd is hiring a self-driven and self-motivated Electrical Technicians who will be placed under Engineering Department for Internship with a possibility of being employed by the company provided that the intern’s performance is outstanding.
Under general supervision, the intern shall maintain, diagonise, and repair electrical, instrumentation, and automation equipment used within the company

  • Installation and Assembly: Mechanical Technicians are responsible for installing and assembling mechanical components, machinery, and equipment according to blueprints, diagrams, and technical specifications. This may involve aligning and fitting parts, bolting or welding components together, and ensuring proper alignment and operation.

  • Maintenance and Repair: They perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the ongoing operation of mechanical systems and equipment. This includes inspecting, lubricating, and adjusting machinery, replacing worn or faulty parts, and performing preventive maintenance procedures to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.

  • Troubleshooting: Mechanical Technicians diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical problems and malfunctions, using a variety of tools, instruments, and techniques. They analyze symptoms, identify root causes of issues, and implement corrective actions to restore equipment to optimal working condition.

  • Calibration and Testing: They calibrate, test, and adjust mechanical systems and equipment to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with specifications and standards. This may involve conducting performance tests, measuring tolerances, and making adjustments as needed.

  • Safety Compliance: Mechanical Technicians adhere to safety protocols and procedures while working with mechanical equipment and machinery. They follow safety guidelines, wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain a safe working environment to prevent accidents and injuries.

  • Documentation: They maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance, documenting work performed, parts used, and any changes made to mechanical systems. This documentation helps track maintenance history, identify trends, and plan future maintenance tasks.

  • Equipment Upgrades and Modifications: Mechanical Technicians may be involved in equipment upgrades, modifications, or retrofits to improve performance, reliability, or efficiency. They collaborate with engineers and other team members to implement design changes and incorporate new technologies into existing systems.

  • Training and Support: They provide training and support to other team members or operators on the proper use, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment. They may also assist in developing training materials and procedures to ensure effective knowledge transfer.

  • Continuous Improvement: Mechanical Technicians participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing productivity, reducing costs, and optimizing equipment performance. They suggest process improvements, identify opportunities for efficiency gains, and contribute to problem-solving efforts within the organization.

  • Emergency Response: In emergency situations, such as equipment breakdowns or malfunctions, Mechanical Technicians respond promptly to troubleshoot and resolve issues, minimize downtime, and restore operations as quickly as possible.

  • Diploma or certificate in Electrical Engineering or a related course from a recognized institution.

  • Ability to read electrical drawings, panel drawings and wiring diagrams

  • Good emergency response.

  • Willingness to learn

  • General Tool Usage
