Job Description
Position: Electrical Technician (1 Position)
Department: Engineering
Reporting to: Maintenance Engineer – Electrical, Electronics & Instrumentation
Position Purpose:
Support maintenance targets and promote a preventive maintenance culture while ensuring compliance with GMP, OHS, and cost control practices.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Execute all maintenance tasks per safety and SOP standards.
Reduce equipment downtime through effective diagnostics.
Lead maintenance processes and mentor junior technicians.
Ensure compliance with GMP and OHS regulations.
Develop work schedules and inspect installations.
Troubleshoot and repair system failures.
Oversee purchasing and ensure timely maintenance activities.
Contribute to maintenance budget planning and project coordination.
Submit daily reports to management.
Records
Maintain accurate maintenance logs and root cause analyses.
Additional Duties
Perform any task assigned by the line manager or HOD.
Authorities
Inspect facilities and allocate tasks.
Train junior staff.
Install and repair equipment per SOPs.
Use ERP maintenance module.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Competencies
Technical
Strong in electrical/mechanical systems.
Knowledge of safety practices and budget planning.

Training Requirements
Basic safety, GMP, and leadership training.
Minimum Qualifications
Diploma in a relevant field.
