Its operations are based at a rehabilitation and education center in Masese, Jinja.

Job Description
The Driver/Mechanic will carry out physical repairs and preventive maintenance on vehicles used by Imprint Hope. This includes developing and adhering to maintenance schedules, logging fuel usage and mileage, facilitating external repairs, and ensuring vehicle cleanliness. The role also involves driving authorized personnel, beneficiaries, and transporting supplies. The incumbent will advise on the procurement of spare parts, uphold vehicle safety standards, and strictly follow the organization’s driver policies. This position is essential to the smooth operation and transportation logistics at Imprint Hope.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Conduct physical repairs and maintenance of Imprint Hope vehicles
Prepare and follow maintenance schedules
Facilitate vehicle servicing and repairs
Prepare reports on vehicle trends and common issues
Drive staff, beneficiaries, and deliver/collect supplies and equipment
Maintain cleanliness and operational condition of vehicles
Perform and arrange internal and external repairs
Maintain vehicle logs: mileage, fuel consumption, and inspection records
Advise on spare parts procurement
Adhere strictly to Imprint Hope’s Driver Policy
Ensure all vehicles are presentable at all times

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Valid Ugandan Driver’s License
Mechanical Certification
5+ years of driving experience
Fluent in English and Luganda
Experience in NGO operations is an advantage
Knowledge of or experience working with persons with disabilities is a plus
Strong oral communication and organizational skills
Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple responsibilities
High integrity and adherence to policies
Ability to manage stress and prioritize tasks
