Job Description
The Director of Sales and Marketing will be responsible for developing and implementing integrated sales and marketing strategies aligned with the hotel’s brand standards and business objectives. This role involves driving sales across multiple segments including group, corporate, leisure, and MICE markets. The Director will oversee marketing campaigns, manage online presence, collaborate with PR agencies, and optimize revenue management strategies. The role also demands strong team leadership, recruitment, training, and performance management, as well as collaboration with internal departments and external stakeholders such as tourism boards and government agencies.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Develop and execute integrated sales and marketing strategies.
Lead annual sales planning, forecasting, and budgeting.
Conduct market analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
Collaborate with Accor regional teams on strategic alignment.
Drive sales across group, corporate, leisure, and MICE sectors.
Build and maintain key client and partner relationships.
Manage and coach the sales team to meet targets.
Represent the hotel at trade shows, exhibitions, and events locally and internationally.
Design and implement marketing campaigns to boost brand visibility.
Manage online presence including website and social media.
Work with PR agencies to enhance public relations and media coverage.
Oversee production of marketing materials and digital assets.
Partner with revenue management to optimize pricing and profitability.
Analyze key performance metrics (RevPAR, ADR, occupancy) to guide decisions.
Lead, motivate, and develop the sales and marketing team.
Conduct performance reviews and provide development opportunities.
Recruit and retain talented sales and marketing professionals.
Collaborate with operations, finance, and other departments to meet client expectations.
Build relationships with tourism boards, government agencies, and community organizations.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field.
Master’s degree is a plus.
Experience:
5 to 7 years in senior sales and marketing roles, preferably in upscale hotel environments.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Proven success in developing and executing sales and marketing strategies.
Proficiency in digital marketing and social media advertising.
Knowledge of revenue management principles and tools.
