Digital Learning Officer job at VSO
VSO International
In collaboration with internal stakeholders, develop high quality learning content, ensuring standards and consistency. Develop a user friendly one stop shop learning management system.
Task Responsibilities
Responsible for taking Learning Content and adapting it to create learning courses/materials using) – Using authoring tools such as Articulate 360, the VSO Learning Management System.
Revise and maintain Kaya pages to improve engagement, through creation of learning pathways, consistency in course management, developing management information and reporting dashboards.
Develop communications plans for organisation activity with a Learning & Development focus and ensure all staff and volunteers receive timely information.
Develop and maintain a set of standardised learning packs, training materials and guidelines.
Support communication of how to use the standardised learning materials and guidelines.
Set up scheduling dates for learning events and manage attendance in the VSO Learning Management System
Manage Learning & Development query email inbox.
Support digital process improvements through innovative thinking and creative ideas, taking into account any integration and development of new applications or with existing VSO platforms.
Competence required:
Experience in working within learning and development to develop improved learning and building partnerships to promote learning opportunities.
Good working knowledge and skill in working with learning management systems.
Background in developing learning content in authoring tools such as Articulate Rise or other similar software
Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to adapt style and content to suit audience.
Proven track record of working with a wide range of stakeholders to support learning creation.
Ability to work on own initiative but also as part of a team.
Experience in maintaining and updating a learning management system.
Willing to learn as you go, building skills and knowledge to support VSO to create excellence in learning systems and content creation.
Ability to research and implement changes to learning content creation or changes to learning management systems.

Experience of using Totara platforms
Experience of using Articulate Rise
